The article discusses tactics which was used by the detachments of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in a collision with Cossacks on the draught of years 1591-1638. It is the attempt of answer for a question how the polish troops, made in overwhelming part from a ride, advised itself with an opponent, the main weapon of which was a camp and infantry. Presents also methods fights which is used through Cossacks in a collision with royal detachments. Due to a mobile and experimental ride it succeeded the Polish side to win these collisions, even if it is needed it was to contest with a camp. Its detachments quickly found out an opponent, detained his march, fit snugly and forced to the surrender mainly at the help of blockade. But about victories was each time heavier, what was demonstrated by battles in the 30-s years of the 17th century, when Cossacks began slowly to adopt initiative.
