Alaksandar Smalančuk Historical consciousness and ideology of the Poles of Belarus and Lithuania in the beginning of the 20-th century

The article examines relations between historical consciousness of the Poles of Belarusan and Lithuanian origin and ideology of so called «krajovaja plyn» (“the land flow”) of Polish national movement in Belarus and Lithuania in the early 20th century. At that time the «landers» dominated in Polish movement.

Most Poles have never forgotten that their native land is Belarusan-Lithuanian land. In the circumstances of 1905-1907 revolution when the Poles in Belarus and Lithuania had found themselves to be actually out of law this awareness of their Motherland has become a factor of a great influence on that ideology formation. However, system of philosophic and valuable orientations and directions being in process of formation was the heart of ideology and, in its turn, influenced historical consciousness. It occured by means of further development of the conception of historical school of Vilnia in the first half of 20th century.
